If you receive the above error message, then you or your machine has done a large update of both Windows and/or MS Office
updates, which has temporarily messed around with the engine that our database uses (Thanks Microsoft, blame them not us please!!)
To fix this, right-click on the icon / item that you use to start the database with.
From the Properties / Advanced section, look for "Run in Compatibility Mode : Windows XP (SP3)"
that beside it, there should be a 'tick'.
Un-tick that, click on the Apply button.
The database will then load okay.
If the above does now NOT work (March 2018 onwards, since another round of Microsoft patches (to fix the above?)),
then a reinstall of the database will get around the issue. The problem is a Microsoft created issue and NOT one
of our own making or your PC!
